Review: Swords and Soldiers

It's been a while since my Wii has seen any action since I first got it. Call it neglect but I have too many games as is to play and since my LCD monitor doesn't have the inputs to hook up, the Wii sits in a corner hooked up to an old TV. I read Jonathan London's review on this Wii Ware title called Swords & Soldiers and it seemed like a fun game so I had to try it out.

Review: Worms

With the recent release of Worms 2 for the XBLA, Team 17 decides to put out a version for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Now this is the 1st mobile worms game to be developed at Team17’s studio. It feels like a full game and at 75.4MB's it better well be a full game and not a slimmed down version for the iPhone.

Review: Punisher: No Mercy

When I think of a bad ass mad dog killer in the comic book world, a couple names come up. Deadpool, The Joker, Carnage. I like to play the odds and say that Frank Castle, also known as The Punisher, is the baddest of all. Developer Zen Studios decided to give a shot at making you feel like The Punisher dishing out some hardcore justice with his arsenal of weapons with the PSN game The Punisher: No Mercy.

Review: Call Of Juarez: Bound in Blood

I like me a good modern western movie. Tombstone, The Quick and the Dead, 3:10 to Yuma are all fantastic movies. Call Of Juarez: Bound in Blood is a prequel to the original game and feels like it could have been a good western flick. The story starts off with the main characters Thomas and Ray McCall in the civil war fighting for the south. Certain events happen and they end up deserting their regimen to save their home. After that, they set out find wealth and riches to rebuild their home from the war. Of course the commanding officer doesn't like the fact they abandoned their posts declares that he will hunt them down for however long it takes. After a few year of causing chaos in the wild west, the McCall brothers end up running into a leader of some Mexican bandits named Juan with his lovely woman Marisa by his side that talks of the treasure of Cortez. The McCall's get caught up in this legend of the great treasure and the lovely Marisa and of course craziness ensues.

Review: Prototype

I am not going to start out by comparing this game to inFAMOUS since it has been done to death. Instead, I will get down to the review at hand.

Prototype starts off with you waking up with no memory of who you are or what you are. The city is overrun with infected people and mutated monsters by some virus with the military trying to fight back to keep the city contained The opening level is sort of a tease and not in a good way. You run through the streets of NYC moping up the military with your Venom-like abilities. Once you get to a checkpoint, the game throws you back to the beginning of his story. In essence, the 1st level is a showcase of what you will be able to do once you unlock/buy all your upgrades. To me that was a waste of time.

Review: Ghostbusters: The Video Game

A show of hands if bustin' makes you feel good....no not that kind of bustin' sicko, the kind of bustin' that only Ray, Egon, Peter and Winston can do. Ghostbusters has been a long time in the making and after all the wait with this game, we finally get a movie game that actually is good (Wolverine doesn't count since the movie sucked and the game was made before the movie was announced).
